Let’s Talk About Anxiety

I just want to be real with you today…Last week my anxiety was loud. My chest felt tight, my mind wouldn’t switch off, and even simple tasks felt heavy. I know many of you have felt this too — and I don’t ever want you to feel alone in it.


Anxiety isn’t weakness. It’s your body trying to protect you… just stuck in overdrive.


3 Gentle Things That Helped Me Calm My System


1. Grounding Myself

I sat with both feet flat on the floor and named:

  • 3 things I could see

  • 2 things I could touch

  • 1 thing I could hearIt brought me right back into my body instead of my thoughts.


2. Slow, Long Breathing

I did: Inhale 4… hold 2… exhale 6.

Within a minute my heartbeat softened.


3. Comfort Through My Senses

I held something warm, used a drop of SLEEP on my wrists, and let my system feel safe again.
